En su lugar, define un c\u00e1lculo para que la diferencia de color calculada por los medidores de color se acerque al umbral de discriminaci\u00f3n de color del ojo humano en el espacio de color s\u00f3lido de CIE Lab (espacio de color L*a*b*). Espec\u00edficamente, el peso se asigna a la diferencia de luminosidad \u0394L*, la diferencia de saturaci\u00f3n \u0394C* y la diferencia de matiz \u0394H* utilizando los coeficientes de peso SL, SC y Sh respectivamente.
