Konica Minolta Sensing Americas Announces FD-9 Auto Scan Spectrophotometer at Graph Expo 2015

Ramsey, N.J., September 2015 — Konica Minolta Sensing Americas, provider of advanced optical technology that precisely measures the elements of color and light, will show the new FD-9 Auto Scan Spectrophotometer at Graph Expo 2015 September 13-16 in Chicago’s McCormick Convention Center.

Konica Minolta Sensing will be co-exhibiting with its sister division Konica Minolta Business Solutions, manufacturers of the award-winning line of bizhub multifunction products (MFPs) and bizhub PRO production printing systems at booth #1913.

With the increasing demand for automated digital printing in today’s economy, the graphic arts industry must continually seek ways to increase speed, efficiency, and improve print quality. Reducing manual labor while increasing color accuracy are some of the highest priorities for print buyers, brand owners, and print production managers. To meet these increasing demands, Konica Minolta’s Sensing Business Unit has developed the new FD-9 Auto Scan Spectrophotometer.

This innovative FD-9 spectrophotometer performs high-speed spot measurements of print charts.

For a 1,500-patch chart, setting up a document to achieving results only takes approximately 4 minutes. Even with this kind of speed, the FD-9’s powerful sensor stops above each color patch to take a precise reading. Only one reading is required to obtain simultaneous data for M1, M0, and M2 measurement conditions. There is no need to reformat charts or printed materials with mixed image formats. It also features both USB and Ethernet connectivity enabling you to easily share one FD-9 between multiple machines.

“The FD-9 is a revolutionary instrument that will reshape color management with its extremely high-speed, measurement accuracy and unique free-format-function. The FD-9 will allow businesses to increase profiling accuracy while streamlining the measurement process, resulting in bottom line savings,” explains Steve Slater, Konica Minolta Sensing’s Color and Appearance Regional Manager.

Konica Minolta color measurement experts will conduct demonstrations at booth #1913 throughout the show. For additional information on the all new FD-9 Auto Spectrophotometer check out our website here or give us a call at 888-473-2656.
