How to Measure Pupil-Size Spectral Measurement on Head-Mounted Displays?
To define and verify your standard of measuring head-mounted displays (HMD) using Augmented Reality (AR), or Virtual Reality (VR), Konica Minolta Sensing Americas now offers an attachment for our CS-2000A spectroradiometer that measures virtual images according to a corresponding pupil size.
Our CS-2000A is a highly accurate spectroradiometer with the ability to measure any high-dynamic range (HDR) display applications. In response to the increasing needs of measuring head-mounted displays or near-eye displays accurately within the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Industry, we now offer CS-2000A with a specialized attachment, which allows for measuring virtual images corresponding to pupil size.

The CS-2000A is a high-end spectroradiometer with high accuracy and stability. It measures ultra low luminances, as low as 0.0005 cd/m2, and contrast levels of 1,000,000:1. To achieve this, the instrument uses technology to reduce sensor signal noise, a measurement angle of 1°, and by maintaining less than 5nm half bandwidth. The CS-2000A spectroradiometer, measures a wide range of light and color of next-generation displays with extreme accuracy including AR & VR instruments.
The CL-500A Spectrophotometer is the guiding light in accuracy and repeatability. This innovative and highly accurate instrument is designed for the evaluation of next-generation lamps such as LED or EL illumination, and can provide precise measurements of illuminance, color temperature, Color Rendering Index (CRI), chromaticity, and spectral power distribution. This lightweight and compact handheld spectrophotometer can be used as a standalone without the need of a computer. If using a computer, it then could provide high-speed measurements using the Software Development Kit (SDK).
