The values of L*, a*, and b* are calculated according to the formulas below:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image aligncenter wp-image-10935\" src=\"https:\/\/sensing.konicaminolta.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/lc-color-spaces-formula-02.jpg\" alt=\"Color Spaces Formula 2\" width=\"363\" height=\"727\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sensing.konicaminolta.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/lc-color-spaces-formula-02.jpg 363w, https:\/\/sensing.konicaminolta.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/lc-color-spaces-formula-02-150x300.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 363px) 100vw, 363px\" \/><strong>L*C*h Color Space<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The L*C*h color space uses the same diagram as the L*a*b* color space, but uses cylindrical coordinates. Lightness L* is the same as L* in the L*a*b* color space; Metric Chroma C* and Metric Hue-Angle h are defined by the following formulas:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image aligncenter wp-image-10938 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/sensing.konicaminolta.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/lc-color-spaces-formula-03.jpg\" alt=\"Color Spaces Formula 3\" width=\"330\" height=\"276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sensing.konicaminolta.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/lc-color-spaces-formula-03.jpg 330w, https:\/\/sensing.konicaminolta.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/lc-color-spaces-formula-03-300x251.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 330px) 100vw, 330px\" \/>The Metric Hue-Difference is positive if the Metric Hue-Angle h of the specimen is greater than that of the target and negative if the Metric Hue-Angle of the specimen is less than that of the target.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Munsell Color System<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Munsell color system consists of a series of color charts which are intended to be used for visual comparison with the specimen. Colors are defined in terms of the Munsell Hue (H; indicates hue), Munsell Value (V; indicates lightness), and Munsell Chroma (C;.indicates saturation) and written as H V\/C. Hunter as a uniform color space which could be read directly from a photoelectric colorimeter (tristimulus method). It is intended to provide a perceptually more uniform color spacing for colors at approximately the same luminance. This was proposed in 1994 by the technical committee of CIE.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image aligncenter wp-image-10947 size-full\"
