Konica Minolta to Release New Portable Spectrophotometer CM-17d, offering unprecedented accuracy/inter-instrument agreement (IIA), usually found in laboratory-grade instrumentation

Ramsey N.J. (June 3, 2024) – Konica Minolta Sensing Americas, Inc. (Konica Minolta) is pleased to announce that the company will launch the new CM-17d for high-precision color measurement. The CM-17d is a vertical portable spectrophotometer designed to be simple to configure and use. It has an electronic viewfinder for easy positioning and is excellent for measuring small samples and curved surfaces. It is ergonomically designed to be easy to grip and is designed to be used in various measurement scenarios, including one-handed work. Stress-free hardware design includes easy positioning with the electronic viewfinder, improved visibility with a slight tilt of the operation screen, and a comfortable workspace with wireless connectivity.

The CM-17d is the successor to the popular CM-700d that has been widely used by material suppliers in automotive, paint, plastic, cosmetics, food, construction, and other industries.

Value provided by CM-17d

Higher accuracy and shorter measurement time. It has a di:8°and de:8°integrating sphere compatible with the previous CM-700d series, along with the improved measurement accuracy of black color

Unprecedented accuracy/inter-instrument agreement (IIA), usually only found for laboratory-grade instrumentation or benchtop models. This precision allows for superior color communication throughout the supply chain from supplier to final assembly.

A charging cradle with an integrated zero-calibration box. This stand-type cradle allows for convenient storage and charging of the device, ensuring peace of mind during off-measurement time.

Stable and reliable measurement data over time through its optional WAA (Wavelength Analysis & Adjustment), an innovative function that analyzes and adjusts for any wavelength shift during each calibration.
