Color Luminance Meter with Interference Filter

Development of Color Luminance Meter With Interference Filter

Recent advancements in display technology have led to improvements in image quality. As the popularity of the display technology used in smart phones, tablets, and PC's increase, major manufacturers continually seek out methods for improving the image quality. This white paper will explore conventional measurement methods while highlighting the features of the CA-310 Display Color Analyzer from the perspective of image-quality improvement of displays. Read more >

LED Intensity
Average LED Intensity
Luminous intensity measurements assume an object appears as a point source.  Because LEDs are large, in order to appear as a point source, long measurement distances are required.  Long distances collect little light, which requires long measurement times to compensate. Read more >

Color Correction for See-Through Displays
Case Study: Color Correction For See-Through Displays
Optical See-Through Displays (OSTD) are transparent digital displays that simultaneously give access to the digital content and the real world objects behind it. OTSD is quickly becoming a reality for major industry players.  Read the case study to learn more about how a group of researchers used the CS-200 to measure OTSD displays.. Read more >

Blog: How Are TV's Tested?
Testing television display quality is a technically challenging process. Because so much of what we think of as quality is really a matter of perception, and because everyone sees things differently, the television and the television review industries have not only had to develop a series of quantifiable traits to measure, and a strict set of procedures for testing those traits; they have had to develop specialized equipment and train technicians to become experts in using that equipment. The most important device for testing TV display quality is a chroma meter, a special device that detects and measures light from almost any source, including plasma screen displays, LCD displays, and projection televisions. Read more >
