
Extended Warranty & Calibration Plan
By selecting Konica Minolta Sensing, you have chosen some of the most accurate and reliable technology available in today’s market. To ensure your equipment is protected throughout its lifespan, choose one of our convenient maintenance contract plans.
Our service center in Ramsey, New Jersey has factory trained engineers capable of providing the high maintenance standards necessary to appropriately service Konica Minolta Sensing instruments. This service center is the only one in the United States that has factory trained engineers, tools, master instruments, and software required to service your Konica Minolta Sensing instrument properly.
Warranty
Konica Minolta Sensing’s new equipment is covered by a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. Upon inspection, if the product is proven to be defective, it will be repaired free of charge. Following the date of a repair, the warranty will be extended for 30 additional days or the remaining period of the warranty, whichever is longer.
The warranty does not apply in the following cases: (a) damage to the product due to mishandling, alteration, accident, impact, dropped, sand, liquid or moisture damage, tampering, battery or chemical corrosion; or, (b) failure to follow operating, maintenance or environmental instructions prescribed by the applicable instruction manual or shipping damage; or, (c) damage caused during service performed by other than Konica Minolta Sensing; or, (d) if the product has had its serial number(s) or other identifying data removed.
The Importance of having Service Contract
Maintaining active support helps protect against potential performance drift and ensures your instrument continues to operate within its intended specifications, with accuracy and reliability. This includes:
- Ongoing optical inspection, cleaning, and adjustment
- Firmware updates to maintain optimal system performance
- Performance verification and calibration to prevent drift from certified centroid data
- Consistent measurement accuracy and process confidence
Plan Levels
To avoid reducing efficiency and raising operation costs, we encourage investing in the protection of your equipment. Konica Minolta Sensing offers four different levels of Extended Warranty & Calibration Plans (EWCP), each designed to fit your equipment needs and most importantly, fit your budget.
EWCP Core: for moderate users of instruments that are not exposed for harsh environments. Members receive on extended one-year equipment warranty and Preferred Member service time for yearly instrument calibration. Maintenance includes cleaning of optical components, factory performance adjustments, firmware upgrades, and verification that the instrument continues to meet its designed accuracy between annual calibrations.
EWCP Assurance: Members receive an extended one-year equipment warranty and Preferred Member service time for yearly instrument calibration. Maintenance includes cleaning of optical componenets, certification, parts & labor, firmware upgrades. Calibration of white tiles (for reflection instruments) and calibration of instruments (for light measurement instruments) is also included.
EWCP Enterprise: Members receive an extended one-year equipment warranty and Preferred Member service time for yearly instrument calibration. In addition, a loaner instrument is provided during the scheduled service of the unit. Maintenance includes certification, parts & labor, firmware upgrades, and cleaning of optics. Calibration of white tiles (for reflection instruments) and calibration of instruments (for light measurement instruments) is also included. Accessories are not covered.
EWCP Select: Ideal for those who can’t be without an instrument for any length of time. EWCP Select members receive on-site calibration services, in addition to an extended one-year equipment warranty. The Platinum program is only available for CM-5, CM-3600a, and CM-3700a instruments. Maintenance includes white tile certification, replacement of Xenon lamps(if necessary), cleaning of all reference sensors, repeatability check, and absolute value check.
