Konica Minolta 3D Scanners: High Precision Instruments for Dimensional Measurement Demands

3D Scanners By Konica Minolta

Konica Minolta 3D laser scanners are high-accuracy instruments, designed to measure the three-dimensional shape of subjects, including plastic parts, press-formed parts, cast parts, forging, casting, molded plastics part production, and the requirements of other industrial processes. Konica Minolta’s new non-contact 3D scanning will open up the possibilities of non-contact measurement, with further reliability, operability, and transportability of optical technologies and controls. As a global leader in the field of illuminance meters, luminance meters, and colorimeters, Konica Minolta has put its experience and expertise into our line of 3D scanning and measurement devices—please browse our products below.

The Range 5 3D Laser Scanner

A high-accuracy instrument for the measurement of three-dimensional shapes, particularly for the sheet metal stamping and casting industries. This 3D scanner is an economical solution for non-contact 3D measurement, delivering the same high quality and performance of the rest of Konica Minolta’s scanner line.

Three Rivers Virtuoso 3D Laser Scanner

This 3D scanner is ideal for industrial design, education, entertainment, art and heritage, and the CGI industries. With a unique laser-based structured light system, this 3D laser scanner achieves unparalleled levels of accuracy and speed. The only scanner on the market that is compatible with both PC and Mac, and the lightweight, compact size makes this 3D scanner ideal for designers, artists, and engineers.

Vivid 910 3D Laser Scanner

This 3D scanner uses light-sectioning technology, which scans a workpiece with a beam—reflected light is acquired by a CCD camera and 3D data is created by triangulation to determine distance measurements. The Vivid 910 3D laser scanner ensures high-accuracy calculation of 3D data and precision for distance and color image data.

Vivid 9I 3D Laser Scanner

This high precision 3D laser scanner is well suited for dimensional measurement demands from many industrial processes, including forging, casting, dies, sheet metal, and molded part production of plastics. A new hardware design and improved measurement algorithm provide 4x the measurement accuracy of previous models. The Vivid 9I 3D laser scanner enables measurement of automobile parts and other objects formed by molding, pressing, or casting.

The Range 7 3D Laser Scanner

Konica Minolta 3D scanners achieve the highest level of guaranteed accuracy for non-contact 3D measurement instruments by utilizing new megapixel sensors that detect finely detailed shapes. The RANGE 7 3D laser scanner has been designed for on-site use, minimizing temperature changes, the influence of instrument tilt, and other measurement variables to ensure high reliability and actual-use environments, such as factories. The size and weight of the RANGE 7 3D laser scanner is half those of previous models, for a compact and lightweight design.

Learn more about Spectroscopy

Spectroscopy is a term used to describe the dispersion of an object's light into the various colors of each of its components. Analyzing these colors (spectrum of energies) allows scientists to infer the physical properties of that object. These properties can include luminosity, mass, temperature, and composition.
