Versatile benchtop colorimeter for quality control of solids, granules, and liquids
The CR-5 is a purpose-built benchtop colorimeter designed to simplify and accelerate color quality control. Based on the platform of the CM-5 spectrophotometer, it delivers precise tristimulus color data for solid, granular, and liquid samples—whether measuring opaque solids in reflectance or transparent/translucent liquids in transmittance.
Its top-facing measurement port, easily configurable for 3, 8, or 30mm areas, accommodates virtually any sample type, from small parts and powders in petri dishes to liquids in cuvettes. The large transmittance chamber provides the flexibility to measure liquid samples in 2, 10, or 20mm cuvettes as well as translucent solid materials.
Designed for intuitive standalone operation, the CR-5 minimizes training time and operator error. The large color touchscreen and user-friendly firmware guide users through setup and measurement with an on-screen wizard. For advanced data management, it connects to a PC with SpectraMagic™ NX2 Professional software.
