At Konica Minolta, we understand that industries at the forefront of technology, whether designing advanced lighting systems, developing next-generation aircraft, or engineering immersive AR/VR experiences, require tools that deliver accurate, reliable, and scalable light measurement. We built the CL-700A Illuminance Spectrophotometer to meet those demands.

With a broad spectral range from 360 to 1000 nm, the CL-700A captures both visible and near-infrared light, enabling precise evaluation of a wide variety of light sources, including LEDs, OLEDs, and NIR emitters. Its wide illuminance range, from 0.01 to 200,000 lux, supports measurements in both ultra-low-light and high-intensity environments, making it suitable for everything from cockpit lighting validation to AR/VR sensor calibration.

The CL-700A also supports multi-point measurement with up to 15 synchronized units, allowing users to assess spatial uniformity and color consistency across complex lighting arrays or large-scale installations. Multi-point measurement is particularly valuable in aerospace cabin lighting systems, immersive AR/VR display environments, and architectural lighting designs where uniformity and precision are critical.

Designed for flexibility, the CL-700A features a compact, lightweight form factor that integrates easily into handheld workflows or automated test systems. With USB and Ethernet connectivity, it supports real-time data acquisition and remote operation. The included CL-S30 software provides intuitive control, spectral visualization, chromaticity analysis, and streamlined data management.

Applications Across Key Industries

  • Lighting Evaluate LED performance, color rendering, and illuminance uniformity in commercial, industrial, and architectural lighting systems. The CL-700A supports compliance with industry standards and helps optimize lighting quality for energy efficiency and visual comfort.
  • Aerospace Ensure cockpit and cabin lighting systems meet stringent aviation standards. The CL-700A enables precise spectral and illuminance measurements under varying conditions, supporting both R&D and production-level quality assurance.
  • AR/VR Calibrate image sensors and displays using both visible and NIR light. The CL-700A supports low-light testing, multi-point display uniformity analysis, and spectral evaluation of optical components—critical for delivering immersive, high-fidelity user experiences.

The CL-700A is more than a light meter, it is a versatile measurement solution designed to support innovation in industries when lighting performance matters most. Whether you are optimizing a lighting system, validating aerospace components, or fine-tuning AR/VR technology, the CL-700A delivers the data you need to move forward with confidence.
